Sunday, April 1, at 11:00 a.m. – Resurrection Sunday Service. On this Sunday we only had service in the morning, which was dedicated to remembering the Resurrection of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Sunday, April 1. – The meeting for young evangelicals “Misión Posible 2018”, organized by the FIEIDE, which took place at the IES Pirámide of Huesca, finished. The chosen theme was “Get Up”, based on the text of Acts 9:1-22. The more than 400 young people who attended were challenged to respond to Jesus with a life on mission. Among other activities, there were lectures by Moisés Peinado and Daniel Bores, and concerts by Sal 150 and Evan Craft.
Monday, April 2. – The State’s Philatelic Commission announced that it had approved the issue, for January 2019, of a stamp commemorating the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Despite arriving late (more than a hundred evangelical entities submitted the application in 2016), the news has been received “with satisfaction and thanks to all those who have supported us in this project”. Precisely, in 2019 the Spanish evangelicals will celebrate another anniversary: 450 years have passed since the publication of the “Biblia del Oso (The Bear Bible)”, the first complete Bible in Spanish from the original languages. In this way, both ephemerides will be commemorated with the same stamp.
Wednesday, April 4, at 7:00 p.m. – Second and final session of the “VI Theology Days in honor of José Grau”, organized by the Evangelical Center for Biblical Studies (CEEB, in Spanish). The conferences of biblical reflection were on the theme: “Christianity, Politics and History”. This second one, “From the Reformation to the Future…”, was in charge of Bernard Coster at the CEEB premises in 2 Valencia Street (Barcelona).
Sunday, April 15, in the morning. – The women of the church received the visit of Sara Martínez for the “Breakfast with Diamonds” in April. Then, in the Communion Service, her husband Juan Martínez, pastor of the Ebenezer Biblical Church in passatge Gaiolà (Barcelona), preached.
Wednesday, April 18, at 7:00 p.m. – The Consell Evangèlic de Catalunya called the pastors and leaders of the churches to a “Meeting of Commitment” in our church to seek the will of God to give a united witness during the “Reformations Celebration” on June 2 in Barcelona.
Sunday, April 22. – During this day a table with gospels, brochures and sweets was placed at the entrance of the church to give to the people who passed by. In the morning Service, Pastor Benjamín read a statement (see below) of the Consell Evangèlic (Evangelical Council of Catalonia) on the situation in Catalonia. Later, the sermon was in charge of Pastor Pedro López, who spoke about the love of God.
Tuesday, May 1 (CANCELLED). – The organizers of the “United Evangelical Excursion“ in the “Parc de l’Hostal del Fum” in Palau-Solità i Plegamans decided to cancel this activity because of rain forecast.

Sunday, May 6, in the afternoon. – Conference on “The Protestant Reformation in Spain” by Juan Salvador.
Sunday, May 13, in the afternoon. – Second Conference of the series on “The Protestant Reformation in Spain” by Juan Salvador.
Saturday, May 19, all day. – The Evangelical Church of Santa Coloma de Cervelló carried out an evangelistic campaign with several activities: collection of hygiene products, lunch with sausages, concert by Sal 150 (Celtic Rock band), testimonials… Our church supported this campaign, which was one of our prayer themes.
Sunday, May 20. – Pentecost Sunday. In the morning Service we had the visit of Esther Rodríguez, who gave us a message on Philippians 3.
Sunday, May 20. – The children of the Sunday School made their drawings to participate in the contest organized by the Betania Nursing Home of Santa Coloma de Gramenet. The theme was “How do you see your grandparents?”. On June 16, the prizes in the different categories will be awarded.
From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 May. – A group of sisters from our church attended the Retreat of women FIEIDE-Catalunya held at the Nuba Hotel in Coma-ruga. This year the conferences were in charge of Ester Martínez, who spoke about “Psicología para la vida diaria (Psychology for Daily Life)”, the subject of her latest book.
Saturday, May 26, all day. – Our church participated in the 17th edition of Firentitats, an exhibition of the activities carried out by more than 150 entities, associations and collectives in the district of Sants, Hostafrancs and la Bordeta. Under the motto “Tothom fem barri (We All Do Neighborhood)”, Firentitats was developed along Creu Coberta and Sants Streets (from Moianès Street to Plaça de Sants). A group of voluntary brothers and sisters had the opportunity to talk with a lot of people at the stand. Although many people did not have interest, some could be given brochures and the New Testament.
Sunday, May 27. – Copies of the Statutes that were approved in assembly on June 25, 2017 and subsequently registered at the Ministry of Justice were distributed among the members of the church.
Tuesday, May 29, at 5:00 p.m. – An institutional Act commemorating the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation was held at the “Saló de Cent” of the Barcelona City Hall. The act was chaired by the Mayor Ada Colau, and was attended by others members of the consistory. There was a first block with two academic interventions. One entitled “The historical importance of Protestantism in the city”, by Federico Vázquez, doctor in Contemporary History, and another entitled “The inheritance of Protestantism today: Evangelical Christianity in Barcelona”, by María del Mar Griera, director of the research group ISOR (Investigations in Sociology of Religion). Later, Pastor Guillem Correa intervened, representing the Consell Evangèlic de Catalunya (CEC). There was also a musical performance by David Suárez, Pablo Samuel Planes, Sarai Martínez Rabadán and Gemma Pueyo.
Saturday, June 2. – Service of Homage to the old people in the FIEIDE Nursing Home in Reus.
Saturday, June 2, at 6:00 p.m. – “Fiesta de las Reformas (Reformations Celebration)” with Kike Pavón and Álex Sampedro. The Consell Evangèlic de Catalunya (with the support of the City Council of Barcelona) organized in the North Station Park, next to the Arc de Triomf (Triumphal Arch), in Barcelona, the Closing Celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. In addition to a lot of music, there were exhibition of evangelical entities and activities for young people. This was a great opportunity to proclaim the Salvation that is in Jesus.

Saturday, June 16. – Some children from our church attended the Summer Party of the Betania Residence in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. Among the activities, the drawing contest prizes were awarded. One of our children received a prize.
Sunday, June 17, in the morning. – Once finished their Bible classes, the children of the Sunday School offered us their End-of-year Party. Classes will be resumed after the summer holidays.
Saturday, June 23. – We had a fraternal Dinner of Saint John’s Day, with a good attendance of brothers and sisters and also some guests.
Sunday, June 24. – Our pastors Benjamín and Adriana visited the group that meets at the el Vendrell mission point.
